two Pumpkins shows in a row.
the day before yesterday I lost my TSP virginity with the acoustic show.
yesterday was the absolute climax.
now I find myself absolutely into the band....

the acoustic show day was weird enough with getting a ticket with
Billy Corgans help.. thanks so much Billy!!!

yesterday I was supposed to be on the guestlist with my friend Anke.
reaching the hall 1930 h, but there was no guestlist ticket for us...
no possibiliy to get the right people on the phone to clear the situation
and of course a sold out concert.
we both fell in dispair, sitting on the stairs of the hall...
no way to see this show?

suddenly we realized that we were sitting past the ticket check point...
one look, OK let's try and we went to the security check
and as you guess no ticket check there and we went in. WOW!

we were in high spirits after that move.
was it criminal energy? was it a touch of fate?
we agreed that this cheeky move was self defence!
that's the reason why this recording is now called: 'Self Defence'

found my usual sweet spot for recording and this hall never let me down...
got a fantastic recording, which I would rate excellent (A or 9/10).
9/10 only for missing ca 10 seconds of 'United States', because
my mic cable got pulled... (cut that out, barely detectable now)
I had one 180min DAT tape with me and that tape was kind enough
to record the entire 184 mins of the show in SP speed...

I'm just listening to Gossamer, which is psychedelic music in it's absolute form.
Wonderful!!

Various TV caps grabbed from a.b.mpeg.video.music. I'm sure Joefish was the source for the Jools Holland appearance and bits from the Sunken Treasure DVD, and most likely the Rock Am Ring appearance also. Not sure who to give credit for the ACL appearance but thanks whoever you are. I authored this DVD as a gift for my sister but thought as long as I went to the trouble I may as well post it here. I've been getting some good stuff here and thought some might enjoy this in return. This a first effort as a poster to any torrent site so feel free to lay on the constructive criticism. I know it's weird to mix video resolutions and aspect ratios as I'm doing here, but my Philips DVP642 handles it beautifully.
